With 17hats, mapping your questionnaire answers to the notes to your client’s Project makes it convenient for you to retrieve this information when needed. This powerful feature allows you to automate and manage your notes that will help keep you organized. Let’s dive in!
First, let’s navigate to a Questionnaire in your Documents and Email Templates section.
Next, under Account Templates go to Documents & Emails to find an existing Questionnaire template. If you don’t have any, go ahead and create a questionnaire.

Now, let’s edit a question and map the answer to Project Notes.
Click the Pencil icon on the right side of the question you’d like to edit. In the ‘Maps To’ dropdown menu select Project Notes. Check the Required box to make this a Required Question. This will ensure that an answer will be provided for this question. Go ahead and save this template after these changes have been made.

When this Questionnaire is completed by a client, you’ll be able to open the document and read their responses.
Accessing Mapped Answers

Now, here’s where the magic of 17hats happens!
Let’s go back to this client’s Project. Now that they have filled out our 17hats Questionnaire we’ll be able to access the mapped answers in the Notes section within seconds. Just like that! For example, in this case, we can quickly see our client’s service request, concerns, as well as their dog’s personality, and how they behave around other dogs. All these are great notes to check before their appointment, and even edit to add additional notes.
