Hands down, customer service is where you’ll stand out the most among your competitors. Paying attention to the smallest details and making their experience with you easy and memorable goes a long way.
There are many little nuances that make 17hats such a robust and powerful platform for running your business. The more you dig and work inside 17hats, you will discover functionality that helps you provide top tier customer service.
Sometimes as a business owner you’ll run into a situation where the dynamics of your project requires multiple clients as your point of contact. For example, you’ve just booked a wedding after meeting with the bride but her father will be paying for the wedding. How do you go about handling the finances for this situation?
We all know that brides are extremely busy and taking one to-do item off their list would be much appreciated on their end. Personally handling the finances with dad without using the bride as a middleman to ensure payments are made in a timely manner will be a huge relief. In this case, you would simply add her father as a Related Contact within her project inside 17hats.
Adding a Related Contact allows you to easily send emails and necessary documents, such as17hats Quotes, Contracts, Invoices, and Questionnaires, to multiple contacts within the same Contact’s Project. This feature, although a small detail, creates a special touch in your client experience with you as a business.
Adding Related Contacts
Here’s how to easily add a Related Contact inside your client’s project.
On the bottom right side of the client’s project page, you’ll see a (+) button next to Related Contacts. By clicking on it, you can simply add a new contact inside the pop-up window. For more help on how to add a related contact click here.

You will now see their information listed as a Related Contact.

From here you have access to directly contact them or include them in communication correspondence along with your client. Everyone stays in the loop and feels included in the process. This is how you create great client relationships.
Bonus Tip:
When sending any emails or documents to the Related Contact, there is no need to search for the contact in your long list of contacts then copy and paste their information. Rather, 17hats makes it convenient for you to cc them by making their email easily accessible via this dropdown contacts tab within the specific Project. What’s even more amazing is that their role is listed which reminds you who’s among the Related Contact list.

We understand that you all work in different industries and have different needs for this feature. I’m curious to know, in what situation would this feature help you in business? How could adding Related Contacts help enhance your client experience?
