Clear the Clutter
Do you have draft emails sitting in your client Project because you just haven’t thought to remove them? Or maybe you were not sure how to delete them?
Let’s say that you intended to email your client. Maybe you started writing an email and saved it as a draft to finish at a later time. But, you got distracted and never came back to it. Whatever the case may be, you now have a drafted email that doesn’t serve a purpose. Yet, there it is among all the important documents… and things are looking messy.
Draft emails sitting in a Project can be distracting when trying to sort through important information. They can cause confusion especially if you forgot why you drafted them in the first place. Organization in your business is the key to success and will allow you to have a stress-free workspace. You don’t want your Projects to feel cluttered.
Let’s delete these unwanted draft emails and clean up your Projects so that you can stay focused and take quick action when running your business.
How to Delete Draft Emails

Within a client Project, you will find drafted emails under Important Documents. You’ll notice they are draft emails because of the orange tag, Draft, at the end of the email subject. If you no longer have a use for these emails, go ahead and delete them from the Project.
Select the draft you want to delete. Once selected, the email dialog window will open.
From here you are able to continue editing, send, or delete this email. We want to delete the email! At the top of the email is the latest activity of your Draft, stamped with the date and time, highlighted in blue. Here you will find the ‘Delete draft’ option.

Click ‘Delete draft’ and then exit the email. You can repeat this process to clean out any other drafted emails that have been accumulating within Projects.
Two reminders before you delete your drafts. First, once you delete your draft you will not be able to recover it. So make sure you are 100% sure you want to delete the draft. Second, if you like the email and want to save it, save the email as a template before deleting it. Then you can access the template if needed for a different project.
Voi-la! Just like that, this quick maintenance work not only clears the clutter in your Project but clears the clutter in your mind as well. Little things like this keep you moving efficiently in your business helping you stay focused and on task!
