Woman working on computer during holiday

We’re less than two months away from the new year! These times can be stressful because of the holidays and traveling … and not to mention the “in-laws”. As solopreneurs, the hours in our days are already limited. You probably don’t have time for elaborate last-minute marketing strategies to keep your business growing. However, it doesn’t have to be that hard.

If you’re concerned about November, December and what 2024 holds, I’m here to give you a few simple marketing strategies that can boost your business through the end of the year. While there are so many marketing efforts you can do for your business, these don’t entail paid ads or pushing out hundreds of social media posts. Let’s keep things simple for the end of year and give you a little boost for 2024.

Enhance Your Online Presence

I encourage you to do two things this week: update your website and update your Google Business listing. Afterall there are only 8.2 billion Google searches per day. 🙂 So if someone is looking for you, updating your website or Google business profile with current information will let Google know … “Hey! My business is alive and well!” … and therefore increase your opportunity to be found. This tip is especially important for all the super busy solopreneurs that sometimes forget about these two vital assets of their business. (I get it, you’re busy!)

Ideas for Updating Your Website

  • Include your latest offering on your home page
  • Create a simple landing page for your latest offer
  • Update your blog (even it’s just a short blog update)
  • Make sure your website is mobile friendly and easy to navigate
  • Add a video to your website
  • Update your portfolio of your work
  • Add new testimonials from clients

Ideas for Updating Your Google Profile

  • Make sure all your contact information is up to date
  • Post an offer
  • Post an update about your business (use whatever your last social media post was)
  • Respond to new reviews

Simply Your Booking Process

Okay, this tip is more marketing-adjacent, but it’s equally important if you’re trying to keep your calendar full through the end of the year. Booking convenience is key to converting leads into customers. There is nothing worse than spending hours and hours on the perfect email campaign only to be losing leads because your booking process is less than ideal.

Let’s say you created an awesome end-of-year offer. How are you capturing and scheduling the new business? The easier you make it for your leads to book, the more likely they are to follow through. So what can you do for your booking process in such a short period of time? Here are two recommendations.

Replace Your Regular Website Contact Form With a 17hats Lead Capture Form.

This is the first step to simplifying your booking process for clients. A 17hats Lead Capture Form is a “smart form” that you can embed on your website or link directly to for your leads to go straight into your CRM. From there, you can easily set up an automatic email response to leads with service information and what the next steps are for working with you. Learn more about the 17hats Lead Capture Form here.

Bonus Recommendation: Include 17hats Online Scheduling in Your Booking Process.

If you have a fall or winter offer that you’re already worried and thinking about “how am I going to handle this new business?” Then 17hats Online Scheduling is for you. Our team at 17hats is here to help with dedicated Online Scheduling Workshops, a Getting Started Guide, and an excellent support team.

A seamless booking process not only enhances the customer experience, but it also reflects on your business professionalism and reliability, both vital factors in securing new business.

Take Advantage of Holiday Networking and Community Engagement

Networking and community engagement are indispensable for solopreneurs seeking to expand their business. If you offer local services then now is the time to capitalize on networking throughout the community. You can join local holiday networking happy hours or host an open house for your business. Getting to know people in fun and joyous occasions is a great way to introduce yourself and let people know what you do. It’s even better if you’re being a contributing member of society.
