Hello, 2025! The New Year is filled with exciting plans and resolutions! And, among the excitement let’s not forget the housekeeping that helps set 2025 up for success.
Within your 17hats brands, we highly recommend keeping your tagging system up to date. By using 17hats Contact and Project Tags, you will be able to quickly search within the Contact and Project Pages, filter in Recent Client Activity, and complete bulk actions on the Projects page. This is incredible helpful with our new and/or search feature as well.
Summary: Optimize your 17hats Lead Capture Forms and Online Scheduling Service to automate tagging Contacts and Projects.
17hats Tags for Lead Capture Forms
Let’s add or update your year tag in your Lead Capture Form. It’s super easy and can be completed in just a few steps.
What is a year tag? A year tag is simply the year (2025), which you will update at the first of each year. If you had a 2024 tag, you will remove the 2024 tag and add the new 2025 tag.
- Head over to your Lead Capture Form, select the form for the left side you wish to edit, and click edit with the button in the top right.
- Scroll to where you see Contact Tags and Project Tags. Add 2025 in both sections.
As you can see, I also like to add a Contact Tag for where the Lead Capture Form is located. This form is located on my ‘contact page’ on my website.
If you have an existing 2024 tag, just click the X next to it to remove it, and add the new 2025. - Press save.

It’s literally that easy.
If you have your Lead Capture Form embedded into your webpage, you will not need to re-embed or even relink it. Everything just works! It’s just that simple.
Now that your tags are in place, each new Contact and Project created from the Lead Capture Form will automatically be tagged with the year they inquired. This will help you see all your clients from the year as well as track repeat clients.
Add Tags in 17hats Online Scheduling
Take it up a notch and add the year ‘2025’ Contact and Project Tag to your Online Scheduling Services.
If you are not using Online Scheduling, it is a game-changer as it saves you so much time and provides your leads and clients with an excellent experience.

To update or add a Tag to Online Scheduling:
- Go to your Account Settings > Online Scheduling
- Edit the service you wish to add or change Tags. I recommend adding Tags to all services.
- Scroll down to Project Management and add ‘2024’ to Contact and Project Tags. You will notice in the example I also add the service name, ‘balloon pick up’, to the Project Tag for further optimization.
With the addition of the tags, now each booking will automatically be tagged.
Contact Tag and Project Tags – What’s the Difference?
In 17hats one Contact can have multiple Projects or no Projects at all, so being able to search Contacts and Projects independently gives you the most flexibility.
Contact Tags should be Tags that are specific to the contact by no matter what service they book with you. These Contact Tags can be:
- Booking Year Tag – The year(s) they booked with you (which is why we did 2024)
- VIP Tag – Great for your valuable clients
- Future Year Tags – Tags for years you know you need to talk to reach out to them. Example: If you know they may be a potential client in 2026.
- Client Specific Needs – If you are a chef and know the client has specific restrictions, Contact Tags are a great reminder as no matter what project they book with you, the Tag will always be present.
Project Tags should relate to the service you are providing for the project.
Project Tags can include:
- Locations – If you’re a photographer, you may want to be able to filter client projects by the location of the photoshoot.
- Year of the Project – (which we just set up)
- Project Specific Needs
