Scheduled Maintenance/Downtime – Sunday Morning August 5th

As 17hats is continuing to grow thanks to all your referrals, we are upgrading our database infrastructure. The database is the heart of our app, as all your data is stored in it. Simply put, we are transferring your data to new servers using new technology.

To transfer the data, and make sure there are no inconsistencies, we will need to turn off 17hats for about 6 hours on Sunday morning. We picked this time because it is the least trafficked time on the site, so it should affect the least amount of people. The maintenance period will be from 12.00am PDT till 06:00am PDT on August 5th.

The new database will make the site faster and even more reliable. It means 17hats will be able to continue to support your growing business as we grow ourselves.

Thank you for your understanding. We will post updates on our status page throughout the maintenance for those that want to follow along. Here’s our internal schedule:

Saturday Night August 4th
11:00pm PT – start final prep and run the checklists

Sunday Morning August 5th
12:00am PT – turn off 17hats
12.05am PT – create a copy of the database
01:00am PT – import the copy into our new database
03:30am PT – start testing, run all post transfer checklists
06:00am PT – turn 17hats back on
