Most 17hats members find a few tools that work and stick with them. That makes sense. You’re running a business, and nobody has time to click through every menu to see what’s there.
But it also means a lot of members are doing things the long way when 17hats already has a shortcut. So for November, we put together an issue about 17hats itself: where it came from, what it can do and how to get more out of it before the new year.
Start with the quiz
If you only have five minutes, take the quiz on page 12. It’s six questions, and your answers point to the part of your business where 17hats can save you the most time right now. That might be leads and follow-up, client communication, booking or the money side. Each result comes with a short list of what to check and what to set up next.
12 things you might not know about
We asked our ambassadors what they wish more people knew about 17hats, and their answers shaped one of our favorite pieces in the issue. It covers 12 features that often get missed, like questionnaire checkboxes that start a Workflow on their own, contracts with two signers and partial refunds.
Kate Campbell, a headshot photographer, gave the best advice of the bunch: “Start small! Learn what you need, when you need it.” Pick one thing from the list and set it up this week.
Getting ready for busy season
The holidays usually bring more inquiries and more emails right when you have the least time to answer them. Busy Season, Handled walks through what to set up now, with tips from ambassadors on blocking time off, letting Workflows handle follow-up and keeping an eye on every client with Pipelines.
We also wrote five holiday emails you can copy into 17hats and save as templates. They cover holiday hours, an auto-responder for while you’re away, a friendly payment nudge, a “book now for the new year” email and a year-end thank-you. If you’d rather skip the copy and paste, all five plus four bonus templates are in a free Holiday Email Template Pack on the Marketplace.
Close out the year
The Year-End Checklist breaks the end of the year into six short sections, from tidying your bookkeeping to setting reminders you’ll want in January. Most items take 15 minutes or less.
Everything 17hats shipped in 2026
17hats released 27 new features and updates this year. The 2026 Feature Roundup puts them all in one place, grouped by how they help you run your business. It’s worth a skim even if you think you’ve kept up. There’s a good chance something small, like searching invoices by PO number or setting a default Brand, will save you a few clicks every day.
At the end of the Roundup, you’ll find a first look at something coming soon: a new Claude & ChatGPT integration that lets you work with your 17hats data from an AI chat. Our ambassadors are testing it now.
